Sometimes the best ideas don’t come from long business plans — they come from real life.

For us, it all started right on our own street.

One day, an ice cream truck came through the neighborhood, just like the ones we all remember from growing up. Kids ran outside, neighbors gathered, and for a few minutes everything slowed down in the best way. While chatting with the driver, he casually mentioned that he was thinking about selling his ice cream truck.

That simple comment planted a seed.

We didn’t end up buying his business, but the idea stuck with us. We started talking about how much joy an ice cream truck brings to a neighborhood — how it creates memories, brings people together, and makes ordinary days feel special.

The truck that came through our street was a van-style setup, and while it worked for him, it wasn’t quite what we envisioned. We knew we wanted a classic ice cream truck look — something bright, fun, and instantly recognizable. Something that felt nostalgic, welcoming, and perfect for community events, parties, and neighborhood routes.

So instead of buying an existing business, we decided to build our own from the ground up.

That decision kicked off the hunt for a truck we truly loved — one that matched our vision and could grow with us. We didn’t want to rush it. We wanted something that felt right, looked right, and represented the fun, family-friendly brand we were dreaming up.

That dream eventually became We All Scream Ice Cream — a name inspired by childhood memories, laughter, and the shared excitement that ice cream brings to people of all ages.

This blog is where we’ll share that journey — from that one conversation on our street, to finding the perfect truck, wrapping it, creating our mascots, serving our community, and everything in between.
