Wrapping the Truck and Bringing Our Vision to Life

From chipped paint to a brand-new beginning

Every great transformation starts somewhere.
Every great transformation starts somewhere.

Once the ice cream truck finally made it home, the real work began.

Before we could even think about wrapping the truck, we needed a clean slate. Years of chipped paint and old, peeling stickers covered the exterior, and there was no shortcut around it. So while most people might have been resting after a long road trip, my husband was outside for hours doing the hard, unglamorous prep work.

Armed with a razor blade — and yes, my Dyson blow dryer — he carefully removed chipped paint and stubborn stickers piece by piece. It wasn’t pretty, and it definitely wasn’t quick, but it was necessary. If we were going to wrap the truck, it had to be done right.

While he was outside prepping the truck, I was inside doing my part.

This was when the branding really started coming together. I was working on the logo, choosing colors, refining the name, and building the overall vision for what We All Scream Ice Cream would be. Up until then, it had all been ideas in our heads — but now it was starting to take shape.

Final wrap approved — and we couldn’t be more excited.

It felt like everything was happening at once.

The truck was being stripped down to its bones outside, while inside we were building the personality, the look, and the heart of the brand. It was messy, exciting, exhausting, and incredibly rewarding all at the same time.

Once the truck was finally prepped and ready, we could move on to the fun part — wrapping it and bringing all those ideas to life visually. This was the moment where an old, worn-down truck would finally transform into something bright, playful, and unmistakably us.

Seeing the finished wrap for the first time was unforgettable. The same truck that once felt underwhelming now felt exciting. It was colorful, welcoming, and instantly recognizable — exactly what we had imagined from the very beginning.

That was the moment We All Scream Ice Cream stopped feeling like an idea and started feeling real.🍦🚚✨

What many people don’t see is how much time goes into moments like this.

We picked up the truck on August 29, drove it home the next day on August 30, and spent weeks getting it ready. After hours of prep and planning, we took the truck in at the beginning of October. Final wrap approval came on October 9, and on October 21, 2025, we finally picked up the truck fully wrapped and ready to hit the road.

Seeing it finished after weeks of work made every late night and every step worth it.
